To equip your company with a new suction system <\/strong>it is not always necessary to rely on a plant engineer who provides the turnkey service, but there is finally an alternative: purchase the various components of the suction system disassembled<\/strong> and prepared for mechanical installation. Thanks to the design support of our technical office, the assembly will be simple, with a significant reduction in the total costs of the system and greater flexibility of work since it will be possible to organize the activities independently.
\nThe plants that can be built independently are normally those intended for the extraction of fumes, dust, and exhalations<\/strong> and therefore do not require heat treatment of the air, for example for welding fumes, grinding powders, sanding or the exhalations of painting and retouching.<\/p>\n

The main components of suction systems<\/h2>\n

Most of the systems are always composed of 3-4 fundamental components, let\u2019s see what they are:<\/p>\n

Collection systems, suction arms, hoods, and benches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
This is the first fundamental component from which to design a fume, dust, or other exhalation suction systems.<\/p>\n

It is usually recommended to aspirate the pollutants as close as possible to the emission source, so the suction arms<\/a> <\/strong>are widely used, but in some cases the hoods<\/strong> are also an excellent solution as the suction benches<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

All these systems are prepared with the necessary fittings for fastening and then be connected to the suction pipe.<\/a><\/td>\n

System component very simple but at the same time difficult to design correctly, the connecting pipes for suction systems <\/strong>between the collection systems and the suction unit must be dimensioned according to very precise parameters that vary according to the type of pollutant aspirated and the air flow.<\/p>\n

The channels<\/strong> and pipes<\/strong> proposed by us are usually circular section, made of galvanized steel sheet (Z275) with thicknesses, tolerances, and construction characteristics in compliance with the standards UNI EN 10142, UNI EN 10143, Eurovent 2\/3 and UNI EN 1506. They are designed with variable section to maintain balance and constant speed in the circuit.<\/p>\n

Normally there is a main manifold to connect the suction points to the fan or filter and then to the exhaust chimney. Included are the galvanized sheet infill for crossing manufactured output, special connectors and stirrups made to measure.<\/td>\n

The centrifugal fan<\/strong> is sized according to:<\/p>\n

  • Type of pollutant, fumes or dust<\/li>\n
  • Number of points to be sucked and their type<\/li>\n
  • Length and type of pipe path<\/li>\n
  • Presence of a filter or abatement system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    It is positioned on the ground or on the wall<\/strong>, depending on the path of the pipes in the suction system. In all cases for a correct installation , specially designed components are required for these uses.<\/a><\/td>\n

Filtration system for suction system (if necessary)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Depending on the type of pollutant aspirated, the concentrations present in the company, local regulations for emissions into the atmosphere is usually necessary to insert a filtration system before the chimney or the exhaust fan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The filters are designed after analyzing the parameters of the intake system, normally for plants not too complex are divided into these types<\/p>\n

  • Self-cleaning filters or cartridges for fumes and dust<\/li>\n
  • Activated carbon filters for fumes, odours, VOCs and SOV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
