How does industrial ventilation for air handling in sheds, factories, and warehouses work?

The fans APBG or HVLS have very long blades, with aeronautical profile, and very slow rotation.  In this way they create an air column directed downwards, having a diameter of about 1÷1.5 times the diameter of the blades.
Once the air reaches the floor, it changes direction randomly in all directions, thus lapping large work areas.
The airflow then rises along the perimeter walls to the ceiling, returning to the fan, which will again provide a downward thrust for a continuous cycle of comfort and renewal.
It is also possible to reverse the flow in case of particular applications
When they are installed in groups the fans give maximum performance because it is possible through a series of accessories to make an advanced management, to start them in function of temperature, timer, and wind speed.

Why use industrial ceiling fans in summer?

The use of industrial ceiling fans allows to move the air to increase speed and thus creating a pleasant feeling of cooling and oxygenation in the areas, in order to avoid the phenomenon of thermal stress on the staff and avoid stagnant and unhealthy air.

In fact, it is known that an air movement with a Speed of 0.9 -1.3 m/s creates in people a pleasant cooling sensation of about 4-6 °C (“Workers in Hot Environments”, Department of Health and Human Services paper).

A bit like working on the perceived temperature making the summer stay in warehouses, warehouses, and production areas less heavy in general.

How they are built and how do you control them

HVLS industrial ceiling fans have 3 or 5 optimized aluminum wing profile blades, designed to improve fan efficiency, reduce motor stress and increase engine life. The latest generation of EC Brushless three-phase motors with Integrated Electronic System and EMC Filters are used, thanks to which it is possible to adjust the speed up to 10 rev/min, and control the fan via Modbus without any physical or electromagnetic noise. Suitable for continuous service S1.

Thanks to a series of accessories specifically designed for connection to the motors through the Modbus® protocol, it is possible to better manage the operation of industrial ceiling fans, making the most of all their potential.
Control panel with color display Touch Allows you to control up to n.4 Fans thanks to Modbus RS-485 connection and in addition to the regulation of the speed of each fan allows for each of these to reverse the direction of airflow and display any alarms.
Then there is the 0-10V regulator to control the ventilation units according to the degree of temperature and wind speed up to n.10 fans. Environment probes and anemometer can be added on request.

Simple and safe installation

The APBG or HVLS series of fans comes with different-sized and certified fixing kits for easy and safe installation in industrial environments. Depending on the type of building you can use different systems, all in any case equipped with steel cables and safety ropes. No special mechanical and electrical skills are required to complete a perfect installation following the instructions of the manuals and with the support of our technical office.

The APBG series consists of 3 different models, different in number and type of blades, resulting in different performances in the maximum volume of air displaced and type of cone flow product.
